The Outdoor Club of NSW Inc. was founded in 1954 to promote outdoor activities, and is based in Sydney.
The Club's main activity is bushwalking, but over time social activities have also become an important part of our programme. Our membership is mainly in the 55+ age group. Our programme lists walks on most Saturdays or Sundays and during the week, and these vary from easy to medium, and occasionally hard. Our activities are mostly in the parks close to Sydney (The Royal National Park, Kuringai Chase, the Blue Mountains), but there are also frequent walks through suburban parks, along waterways and beaches. We also have a number of weekend events, as well as longer trips lasting several days, with accommodation being provided in cabins or hotels/motels.
Would you like to go bushwalking with a group of like-minded people? Then try the Outdoor Club - we actively welcome new members. We are a friendly bunch, and our members go out of their way to make new members feel at home. Try us out and come as a visitor (Provisional Member) on one of our walks - click on the How To Join tab for details!
